Overview:
One of the biggest banks in the European Union is seeking a Senior Software Engineer capable of driving workflow automation and LLM-based tooling directly with business stakeholders. A seasoned software engineer who can sit with front-office operators, understand their workflows, and design/build applications and automations that leverage modern LLM tools. This position could be later expanded to managing a small team.
What will you do?
* Engage directly with front-office operators to identify automation opportunities and pain points * Design and build applications/workflow automations, leveraging LLM tools (e.g. Claude, MCP servers, agentic workflows) * Bring strategic thinking to how AI/automation should evolve within QDI's Bronze/Silver/Gold data architecture * Set technical direction and best practices for the future AI² team * Grow into a team lead role after ~6 months, managing and hiring for AI² initiatives What are we looking for? * Academic background in Engineering, Economics, Computing, Mathematics, Statistics or related fields * 5+ years of software engineering experience * Strong communication skills — comfortable working with non-technical business stakeholders * Hands-on experience with LLM/AI tooling (agents, RAG, automation frameworks) would be a strong plus * Strategic mindset — able to think beyond immediate tickets toward team/capability building * Some experience with data-driven applications and workflows * Prior team lead or mentoring experience a plus, given the growth path to head of AI² * Fluent in English What can you expect from us? * A permanent job contract for a long term project; * Tech equipment + SIM Card + personal smartphone; * Health and Life Insurance; * Social events and team buildings; * The commitment of letting you grow with us, and be rewarded accordingly; * A dynamic and young team that will be always there to support you; * Training in the latest technologies; * Coffee, fruits, snacks and a warm welcoming when you pass by the office.
