The Medical-Surgical Nephrology Care Unit is a 25-bed medical-surgical unit providing comprehensive care to patients with acute and chronic kidney conditions, including chronic kidney disease (CKD), acute kidney injury (AKI), and electrolyte imbalances. The unit also cares for patients receiving hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.

In addition to nephrology patients, the unit provides care for patients with a variety of diagnoses, including cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, and endocrine conditions. Patients are monitored via telemetry, and all new hires are required to successfully complete mandatory telemetry training.

Role Overview

As a Registered Nurse, you will provide leadership in coordinating and delivering compassionate, quality patient care. Utilizing the nursing process, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients and their families. Your role is critical in ensuring effective communication with the healthcare team and finding solutions to meet patient goals.

What You Will Do

* Provide leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. * Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. * Delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching for patients and families. * Communicate pertinent patient/family information to the healthcare team. * Participate in finding and implementing solutions for variances from patient goals.

SCHEDULE: (3) - 12 Hour Shifts, 7pm - 730am, every other weekend and rotating holidays. Full-Time Benefit Eligible

SIGN ON BONUS: $7500.00

LOCATION: Henry Ford Providence Southfield Hospital

Qualifications

What You Will Need

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

* BSN preferred. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. * Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. * Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. * Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE REQUIRED:

* Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing. * Health care provider certification (BCLS).
