Infravision is seeking an experienced Journeyman Lineman to support drone-augmented transmission stringing operations across the United States. In this role, you will combine traditional line construction expertise with innovative UAV-integrated stringing methods, smart-tensioning systems, and specialized field equipment to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality transmission projects.
Working alongside UAV pilots, field crews, engineering, operations, and customer teams, you will play a key role in modernizing how critical transmission infrastructure is built. What You’ll Do
* Transmission Construction: Perform skilled transmission line construction, maintenance, repair, and restoration, including conductor installation, pulling, tensioning, sagging, splicing, and dead-ending. * Drone-Augmented Stringing: Coordinate with UAV pilots and field crews to execute aerial lead-line deployments, maintaining safe clearances, effective communication, and established operating protocols. * Specialized Equipment Operations: Operate and support smart-tensioning systems, remote-release hardware, pullers, tensioners, winches, and other specialized stringing equipment. * Field Installation & Execution: Install, maintain, and remove utility structures and components, including poles, crossarms, insulators, conductors, anchors, guy wires, travelers, and related hardware. Perform climbing and aerial lift work as required. * Complex Transmission Projects: Support conductor and OPGW installations across challenging environments, including energized corridors, highway crossings, remote terrain, and environmentally sensitive areas, in accordance with approved work methods and utility requirements. * Technical Interpretation & Troubleshooting: Read and interpret construction drawings, staking sheets, circuit maps, switching orders, and sag-tension data to support safe execution and resolve field challenges. * Safety & Compliance: Conduct job briefings, hazard assessments, equipment inspections, and safety checks while following applicable OSHA regulations, NESC standards, customer requirements, and Infravision procedures. * Team Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with operations, aviation, engineering, safety, and customer teams while providing guidance and mentorship to apprentices and ground personnel as needed. * Operational Support: Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment; complete required field documentation; and support emergency response, storm restoration, extended work hours, and other operational needs as required.
What We’re Looking For
* Qualifications & Experience: Journeyman Lineman status and a high school diploma or GED required. Five or more years of transmission, distribution, or utility line construction experience preferred. Completion of an accredited lineman training program preferred. * Transmission Expertise: Demonstrated experience with overhead or underground electrical construction, conductor pulls, transmission stringing, sagging, splicing, dead-ending, and related line construction equipment. * Technical Skills: Ability to interpret construction prints, staking sheets, circuit maps, switching orders, and sag-tension data. Experience with UAV-integrated stringing methods or the ability to learn new field technologies. * Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of OSHA requirements, NESC standards, utility safety practices, energized and de-energized work procedures, and job hazard assessments. OSHA 10 or 30, CPR/First Aid, pole-top rescue, and bucket truck rescue certifications preferred. * Licensing: Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required. * Physical & Field Requirements: Ability to climb utility structures, work at heights, operate aerial lift equipment, perform physically demanding tasks, and work outdoors in varying weather and terrain conditions, with or without reasonable accommodation. * Travel & Availability: Ability to travel extensively throughout the United States, work extended or irregular hours, and support emergency response or storm restoration as required. * Collaboration & Adaptability: Strong communication skills, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams while adapting to evolving technology and operational priorities.

Compensation: $48–$58/hr + travel per diem + OT
