Job Description

The Fraud Risk Manager is responsible for leading a team of fraud professionals focused on protecting customers and the bank from fraud-related losses while delivering a high-quality customer experience. This role oversees daily operations, monitors performance metrics, ensures regulatory compliance, and drives effective fraud detection, investigation, and resolution activities. The manager partners with business leaders, risk partners, and cross-functional teams to identify emerging fraud trends, mitigate risks, and implement process improvements. They provide coaching, development, and performance management to employees while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The role is accountable for maintaining operational controls, managing escalations, supporting audits, and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures. Success in this position requires strong leadership, analytical thinking, risk management expertise, and the ability to influence positive business outcomes in a dynamic fraud environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead the day-to-day operations of Fraud Mitigation Solutions (FMS) teams responsible for fraud detection, investigation, and fraud loss prevention activities.  • Oversee fraud case inventories, workflow distribution, and service delivery to ensure timely and accurate resolution of customer and fraud-related issues.  • Monitor fraud trends, operational risks, and key performance indicators to identify emerging threats and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.  • Ensure compliance with bank policies, operating procedures, regulatory requirements, and fraud risk management standards across all team activities.  • Direct the investigation and resolution of complex fraud cases, escalations, customer complaints, and high-risk situations requiring management involvement.  • Partner with Fraud Strategy, Risk Management, Operations, Compliance, Legal, and other business partners to address fraud risks and improve controls.  • Review operational performance metrics, quality results, fraud losses, productivity measures, and service levels, taking corrective action when necessary.  • Lead efforts to identify process improvement opportunities, strengthen controls, and enhance fraud detection and prevention capabilities.  • Ensure effective implementation of new fraud policies, procedures, technologies, products, and regulatory changes within the team.  • Support audits, examinations, and risk reviews by maintaining effective controls, providing documentation, and implementing corrective action plans as required.  • Analyze operational data and management reports to identify trends, risks, capacity needs, and opportunities to improve customer and business outcomes.  • Communicate department performance, fraud trends, operational risks, and key initiatives to senior leadership and business partners.  • Manage employee performance through regular coaching, feedback, development planning, performance reviews, and performance improvement plans when necessary.  • Foster an engaged and inclusive work environment that promotes accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and professional development.  • Support staffing and employee administration activities including hiring, onboarding, work assignments, scheduling, workforce planning, training, compensation actions, employee relations matters, and adherence to employment policies.

Location - Chennai.

Experience - 8 +Years (3years in Team handling)

Location expectations  This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location 5 days per week.
