About the role
Job Description
* Supervise and manage the daily operations of the Engineering Department. * Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and other hotel systems. * Plan and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance activities. * Lead, guide, and train engineering team members. * Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and operational issues. * Ensure compliance with hotel safety standards, statutory requirements, and maintenance procedures. * Monitor energy and water consumption and implement conservation measures. * Coordinate with other departments to address maintenance requirements and guest-related concerns. * Manage engineering contractors, vendors, and service providers. * Maintain records of maintenance activities, equipment servicing, and inspections. * Monitor engineering-related expenses and support effective cost control. * Assist in renovation, refurbishment, and new engineering projects. * Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities and identify potential maintenance issues. * Ensure proper inventory and availability of engineering tools, equipment, and spare parts. * Promote a safe working environment and ensure the team follows all safety procedures.
Qualifications
* Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related Engineering field. * Relevant experience in hotel engineering or facilities management. * Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. * Good leadership and team-management skills. * Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. * Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards. * Good communication and coordination skills. * Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies effectively. * Proficiency in basic computer applications and maintenance-management systems.
