About the role
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality email templates and web UI components. * Establish and enforce front-end development standards, best practices, and reusable frameworks. * Ensure pixel-perfect, responsive, and cross-browser-compatible UIs and emails. * Review code, conduct performance audits, and resolve complex UI and rendering issues across varied email clients (Outlook, Gmail, Apple Mail, etc.). * Collaborate with stakeholders (marketing, design, product) to plan and prioritize front-end and email initiatives. * Mentor and coach frontend developers, fostering a culture of code quality and continuous improvement. * Oversee the integration of email templates with marketing platforms (e.g., Zeta, Braize, Mailchimp, Salesforce Marketing Cloud). * Stay current on front-end trends, tools, and frameworks, especially in the email development ecosystem.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* 6+ years of experience in frontend development, including at least 2 years in a lead or senior developer role. * Deep expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Bootstrap. * Ability to mentor and coach other developers to achieve better quality and velocity * Advanced knowledge of responsive email development, including inline CSS, table-based layouts. * Deep understanding of email client limitations and how to work around them (e.g., inline CSS, table-based layouts, etc.). * Demonstrated experience ensuring cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility. * Familiarity with front-end tooling (e.g., Webpack, Gulp), version control (Git), and CI/CD processes. * Strong debugging and performance optimization skills. * Excellent communication, leadership, and team collaboration abilities.
