To strengthen our team in Kloten, Zuerich or in Morbio Inferiore, Ticino we are looking for a motivated and experienced Manager in the Seafreight sector. Major Duties and Responsibilities
* Maintain and develop a positive relationship with assigned accounts through pro-active communication and providing timely and accurate information * Create and maintain an effective department organization * Prepare, execute, monitor and update at regular intervals the business plan for the department * Be responsible for compliance and quality issues for the ocean product * Ensure that productivity and profitability goals for ocean department are met * Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors * Proactively communicate with the team to ensure continuous awareness and understanding of policies and regulations * Be open to implementing new system changes and enhancements into your department
Qualifications
* 5+ years of leadership experience in the Ocean Freight department of a freight forwarder * Ability to define, develop and document business processes and procedures * Effective interpersonal skills. Ability to relate to customers and employees at all levels. * Professional oral and written communication skills in English and native language * Native speaker skills or fluency in German is a must
