Job Description

We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused Counter Sales Associate to join our team in Houston, TX. As a Counter Sales Associate, you will be the face of our company, providing exceptional service to our valued customers and ensuring a positive shopping experience.

* Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries and purchases * Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions accurately and efficiently * Maintain a clean and organized sales counter area * Demonstrate in-depth product knowledge to help customers make informed decisions * Handle cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with precision * Resolve customer concerns and complaints in a professional and empathetic manner * Restock merchandise and assist with inventory management * Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive shopping environment * Adhere to company policies and procedures to ensure smooth operations * Assist in warehouse operations for shipping and receiving when needed * Maintain regular attendance and punctuality

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or equivalent * 2+ years of retail or customer service experience

Preferred Qualifications:

* HVAC knowledge preferred * Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively * Strong math skills for accurate transaction processing * Proficiency in operating Point of Sale (POS) systems * In-depth product knowledge or the ability to quickly learn about our product line * Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly and supportive attitude * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask efficiently * Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds * Basic computer skills and attention to detail * Team player with a collaborative mindset * Problem-solving skills to address customer concerns effectively * Inventory management skills * Willingness to become forklift certified (training provided) * Regular attendance and punctuality are vital for success in this role
