What You’ll Do

* Supervise building inspectors and manage inspection programs * Serve as a subject matter expert supporting the sales team * Conduct client visits as needed for complex or escalated projects * Administer and enforce municipal, state, and federal building codes, safety, energy, and accessibility standards * Oversee issuance of building permits, plan approvals, occupancy certificates, and inspection reports * Interpret complex codes and provide guidance to architects, engineers, contractors, and property owners * Collaborate with fire, planning, zoning, engineering, and public works departments for coordinated code enforcement * Manage appeals, code updates, and ordinance revisions * Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on inspections, permitting, and code compliance

Qualifications

* ICC Certified Building Official (CBO) required; additional ICC certifications (Plans Examiner, Building Inspector) highly desirable * Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in building inspection, code enforcement, or construction management * Proven leadership and supervisory experience * Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex code-related issues under pressure * Excellent communication and client-facing skills
