About the role
Build the software that helps powerful computing systems operate with purpose and precision. At GIGATEC, you’ll develop, enhance, and sustain information management software and services infrastructure for High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems in a Linux environment. You’ll apply Python development skills to solve practical engineering challenges, work with PostgreSQL and SQL technologies, and support automated deployments through Ansible, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization. If you enjoy connecting software craftsmanship with the complexity of large-scale computing, this role offers the opportunity to shape the services behind the systems.
Required Skills
* Experience using Linux CLI and Linux tools. * Recent software development experience with Python. * Familiarity with automation frameworks, including Ansible for deployment orchestration. * Familiarity with SQL technologies, including PostgreSQL. * Familiarity with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI. * Familiarity with Docker, Podman, and containerd. * Experience using Git for source control.
Desired Skills
* Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies. * Familiarity with Datacenter Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools such as NetBox. * Experience with Jira and Confluence. * Appreciates a sense of humor and the occasional well-timed joke. 😂
