Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver strategic initiatives within the banking sector. The role involves managing end-to-end project delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and timelines while coordinating cross-functional teams across business, IT, and risk functions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the full project lifecycle from initiation to closure * Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables * Manage project plans, budgets, resources, and dependencies * Coordinate cross-functional teams, including business, IT, risk, and compliance * Ensure delivery in line with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, AML, Basel, DORA) * Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies * Drive governance, reporting, and stakeholder communication (incl. senior management) * Oversee vendor and third-party delivery where applicable * Ensure quality assurance, testing readiness, and successful implementation * Support change management and business adoption activities * Monitor project performance and ensure alignment with strategic goals
Required Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience as a Project Manager in banking or financial services * Strong understanding of banking operations, products, and regulatory landscape * Experience delivering regulatory, risk, or technology transformation projects * Ability to manage complex, multi-stream projects in a matrix environment * Strong stakeholder management and communication skills * Experience with project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid) * Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Confluence)
