Key Responsibilities
* Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-performance software systems. * Contribute to system architecture and technical design, validating solutions through data and experimentation where appropriate. * Participate in code and design reviews to uphold high engineering standards. * Own and support applications during business hours, ensuring system health and reliability. * Use metrics, logging, and analytics to make data-informed decisions and improve system performance. * Collaborate across engineering, product, data science, and design teams to deliver effective solutions. * Contribute to cross-team initiatives and support other engineers through mentorship and knowledge sharing.
Must-Have Skills
* A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with at least 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with no prior experience. * Proficiency in one or more modern backend programming languages, such as Java, Kotlin, or similar. * Experience building and operating large-scale, high-performance, and resilient systems. * Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English, with the ability to work effectively across teams. * Curiosity and a willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges.

* One or more modern backend programming languages, such as Java, Kotlin, or similar. * AI-assisted coding tools; no specific product is prescribed. * Metrics, logging, and analytics tools; no specific platform is prescribed.
Location, Time & Engagement
* Candidates must be based in an eligible LATAM location. * Working-hour coverage aligned with U.S. Central or Pacific Time is required.
We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain shared backend platforms, services, and products operating at significant scale. You will use AI-assisted coding tools and collaborate with engineering, data science, product, design, and business partners to deliver reliable, high-quality software.
Enterprise experience is strongly preferred.
