Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Technician (PT Tech) to join our healthcare team in Jackson, United States. As a PT Tech, you will play a crucial role in supporting our physical therapists and providing exceptional care to our patients.
* Assist physical therapists in delivering patient treatments and therapeutic exercises * Apply and monitor therapeutic modalities, including hot/cold packs * Maintain and sanitize therapy equipment and treatment areas * Guide patients through prescribed exercise routines under therapist supervision * Ensure proper setup and breakdown of treatment areas * Monitor patient progress and communicate observations to physical therapists * Maintain accurate and detailed patient care documentation * Assist with patient scheduling and contribute to efficient clinic workflow * Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards * Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care * Demonstrate empathy and support for patients throughout their treatment journey
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required * Strong knowledge of physical therapy procedures and medical terminology * Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills * Physical stamina to assist patients and stand for extended periods * Strong organizational and time management abilities * Detail-oriented approach to patient care and documentation * Basic computer proficiency * Current CPR certification * Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy requirements * Knowledge of safety protocols and infection control procedures * Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and clinic demands * Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to patient satisfaction * Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
