We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Counter Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities:
* Greet customers warmly and professionally, providing prompt assistance with inquiries and purchases * Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently to process transactions, including credit cards and other payment methods * Demonstrate comprehensive product knowledge to help customers make informed purchasing decisions and identify their needs * Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales counter area at all times * Handle customer concerns and complaints with empathy and professionalism, working toward effective resolutions * Restock merchandise and assist with inventory management to ensure product availability * Collaborate with team members to create a positive and supportive shopping environment * Multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail * Adhere to all company policies and procedures to ensure smooth daily operations * Assist with warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving, during high-volume periods or as needed * Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality to support team success * Identify sales opportunities and utilize effective techniques to meet sales goals

Required:
* High School Diploma or equivalent * 2+ years of retail or customer service experience * Demonstrated ability to process payments accurately * Strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred:
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively * Strong mathematical skills for accurate transaction processing * Proficiency in operating Point of Sale (POS) systems * In-depth product knowledge or proven ability to quickly learn about product lines * Demonstrated customer service excellence with a friendly, supportive, and empathetic attitude * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously * Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds regularly * Solid computer skills and meticulous attention to detail * Team player mentality with a collaborative and inclusive approach * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills * Inventory management experience * Proven sales techniques and upselling ability * Reliability, work ethic, and commitment to consistent attendance * HVAC knowledge (a plus) * Willingness to pursue forklift certification (training provided)
