This is an on-call position where the response time is 45 minutes max
GENERAL SUMMARY
* Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. * Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. * Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. * Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions. * Acts as a patient advocate while utilizing the nursing process to plan, deliver, and evaluate goal focused, individualized, safe, age specific care for all patients including those with complex pathophysiological needs and/or psychosocial needs.
UNIT DESCRIPTION:
Taking care of patients that need heart catheterizations and also electrophysiology patients throughout the procedure. The RN will be an intraprocedural RN, mixing drips, and giving sedation.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
* BSN preferred. * Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. * Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. * 3-5 years of nursing experience * Experience in ICU, ER or critical care * Cardiac ICU experience preferred or cardiac in general * CVICU preferred
