Job Summary
AvaMed Workforce is currently seeking a qualified Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for an opportunity at a healthcare facility in Fresno, California.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This position requires a dedicated healthcare professional who is committed to delivering quality patient care, supporting rehabilitation goals, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
We offer a competitive pay rate of $50.00 per hour with weekly pay.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide physical therapy treatments and interventions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
* Implement established treatment plans to improve patient mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
* Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfer training, and mobility activities.
* Monitor patient responses to treatment and report changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist.
* Maintain accurate, complete, and timely patient treatment documentation.
* Educate patients on therapeutic exercises, mobility techniques, and safety precautions.
* Collaborate with Physical Therapists, nursing personnel, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
* Ensure compliance with facility policies, infection control procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations.
* Perform other duties within the scope of practice of a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant.
Minimum Qualifications
* Current and valid California Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license required.
* Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
* Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
* Ability to follow established treatment plans and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
* Ability to meet facility credentialing, background screening, and onboarding requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
* Previous experience working in a healthcare, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or similar clinical setting.
* Experience working with patients requiring restorative and rehabilitative services.
* Familiarity with electronic medical records and clinical documentation.

Pay Rate: $50.00 per hour
