Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Aide to join our dynamic healthcare team in Portland. As a Physical Therapy Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting licensed physical therapists while ensuring exceptional patient care and maintaining an efficient therapy environment.
* Assist physical therapists during treatment sessions and therapeutic exercises * Safely transport and transfer patients to and from treatment areas * Prepare, sanitize, and maintain treatment areas and equipment * Schedule patient appointments and manage electronic health records * Monitor and maintain therapy supply inventory * Perform administrative tasks including answering phones and managing documentation * Support therapists in patient education and exercise demonstration * Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control procedures * Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations * Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient care delivery
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required * Current CPR and First Aid certifications * Proficiency in patient transfer techniques and safety protocols * Working knowledge of medical terminology and basic anatomy/physiology * Experience with electronic health records systems preferred * Strong organizational and time management skills * Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities * Physical stamina to assist patients and handle therapy equipment * Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment * Previous healthcare experience preferred but not required * Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements * Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team * Professional demeanor and commitment to patient care
