Job Description
Baxterstorey is seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter with 12 month experiance to join our team in Huntingdon, United Kingdom. As a vital member of our kitchen staff, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, organised, and smooth-running kitchen environment.
* Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to maintain high standards of hygiene * Operate and maintain dishwashing machines, ensuring all kitchenware is properly cleaned and stored * Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff * Organise and store incoming deliveries in appropriate storage areas * Dispose of waste in accordance with health and safety regulations * Support the kitchen team by performing various tasks to ensure efficient service delivery * Maintain a tidy and well-organised kitchen, including floors, walls, and storage areas * Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards as per company policies and legal requirements
Qualifications
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment * Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness * Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when required * Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks * Team-oriented mindset with a supportive attitude towards colleagues * Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and safe use of cleaning chemicals * Basic understanding of food hygiene practices * Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential for the right candidate. * Food hygiene experience is desirable * Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
