Starting Wage: $20.00 hr

Monday thru Friday

3:00 pm to 11:00 pm

Summary:

As a Facility Cleaner you will ensure common areas of the manufacturing facility and warehouse utilized daily are cleaned and sanitized within Good Manufacturing Practices.

We're looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in their work. You'll clean and sanitize areas throughout our facility while following established safety and cleaning procedures.

Previous pharmaceutical or Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) experience is not required. We will provide training on our procedures, GMP requirements, and documentation standards.

If you have experience in janitorial services, commercial cleaning, housekeeping, hospital/environmental services, manufacturing sanitation, food processing, or a similar environment, we encourage you to apply.

What You'll Do

As a Facility Cleaner, you will:

* Clean and sanitize production, laboratory, warehouse, office, washroom, and common areas according to established procedures. * Perform routine cleaning activities, including dusting, window cleaning, and polishing fixtures. * Collect and dispose of waste and recycling according to established procedures. * Respond to cleaning, waste disposal, moving, and other facility service requests. * Complete required cleaning records accurately and on time. * Restock paper products, soap, production garments, and other facility supplies. * Monitor and maintain cleaning and sanitation supplies. * Perform periodic cleaning projects, including stripping and waxing floors and cleaning air diffusers and exhaust grills. * Assist with the safe disposal of waste from dust collection systems. * Identify and report potential safety hazards. * Follow established safety, sanitation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). * Work independently while collaborating with other members of the facility team. *

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent. * At least 1 year of experience in janitorial, custodial, sanitation, housekeeping, environmental services, or related cleaning work. * Ability to follow written cleaning and safety procedures. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to completing work accurately. * Dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable working with minimal supervision. * Ability to accurately complete required cleaning records and documentation. * Basic computer skills and the ability to learn electronic systems used for training and documentation. * Effective communication skills in English.

Experience That Is Helpful — But Not Required

Previous cleaning or sanitation experience in any of the following environments is a plus:

* Pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing * Food processing or food manufacturing * Hospitals or healthcare facilities * Cleanrooms or controlled environments * Industrial or manufacturing facilities * Other regulated environments

Never worked in a GMP environment? That's okay. We will train the right candidate on our GMP requirements, procedures, and documentation practices.

Physical Requirements

This is an active position that requires the ability to:

* Stand and walk for extended periods. * Periodically stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, and reach while performing cleaning activities. * Lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 40 pounds. * Safely use cleaning equipment and supplies. * Work in areas that may include exposure to dust, noise, bright lights, fumes, or odors. * Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Depending on the work area, PPE may include safety glasses, safety shoes, lab coats, gloves, hair coverings, beard coverings, safety aprons, and respirators.

Compensation

The estimated annualized pay range for this position in Ontario is $36,608.00–$54,550.00.
