Position Responsibilities
* Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with examinations and treatments * Safely restrain and handle dogs, cats, and other patients * Prepare examination and treatment areas * Clean and disinfect kennels, equipment, and treatment areas * Assist with animal care, feeding, walking, and monitoring * Collect, prepare and perform laboratory samples as directed * Assist with Radiographs and ultrasounds * Help maintain accurate medical records * Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients (in-person as well as over the phone) * Provide support during procedures and appointments * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe hospital environment * Perform other duties as needed to support the veterinary team
Qualifications
Qualifications
* Previous veterinary experience preferred - 1 year minimum. * A genuine love and respect for animals * Strong communication and organizational skills * Ability to work effectively as part of a team * Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn * Comfortable working with animals of different sizes and temperaments * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure * Proficient in sample collection and obtaining medical histories * Veterinary Assistant certification is a plus but not required * Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset
Additional Information
Pay Range: $18-$21/hr
