About the role

Job Description

The Human Resources Intern will provide support to the onboarding, talent acquisition, employee relations and administrative functions of HR. The intern will have exposure and learning opportunities throughout the department.

This position is fully in-person in Liberty Lake, Washington.

Key responsibilities include:

* General administrative support including ordering nametags, business cards, printing name plates, reconciling and submitting HR team corporate credit card statements and handling electronic and paper file cleanup * Support new team member onboarding including preparing swag bags, assisting with new team member orientation, and other onboarding checklist items. * Support benefits and wellness through assisting with quarterly challenges, blood drives, and total rewards programs.  * Support ongoing events including our annual spirit week, internal and external career fairs, Bring your Kids to Work Day and biometric screenings.

Duration: Six months

Location: STCU headquarters located in Liberty Lake, WA

Schedule/Hours per week: The internship is part-time with an average of 20 hours per week. The schedule will be determined once a candidate is selected and provides their class schedule. Work hours will be between the hours of 8:30 and 4:30 Monday - Friday.

Eligibility: Qualified candidates are those enrolled in college (minimum of junior standing) and eligible to receive internship credit for the duration of the internship. Master's students are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

* Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field * Demonstrated interest in Human Resources and/or the employee experience. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to build positive working relationships and provide a high level of service to employees and leaders. * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. * Demonstrated professionalism and the ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information. * A willingness to learn and ask questions.
