About the role

Job Description

* Provide skilled physical therapy interventions under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. * Carry out individualized treatment plans designed to improve patients’ strength, mobility, balance, coordination, function, and overall quality of life. * Provide treatments including therapeutic exercise, therapeutic activities, neuromuscular re-education, manual therapy, gait training, balance training, and functional training as appropriate. * Educate patients on their exercises, treatment techniques, home exercise programs, and strategies to improve function and promote long-term success. * Monitor patients’ responses to treatment and communicate changes, concerns, and progress with the supervising Physical Therapist. * Assist the Physical Therapist with patient reassessments and modifications to the plan of care as directed. * Build strong relationships with patients through compassionate, individualized, and encouraging care. * Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinical, legal, and insurance requirements. * Collaborate with Physical Therapists and other members of the clinical team to provide coordinated, high-quality patient care. * Maintain a clean, organized, and professional treatment environment. * Follow all applicable professional, ethical, safety, and regulatory standards. * Participate in continuing education and professional development to expand clinical knowledge and skills. * Contribute to a positive team culture and excellent patient experience. * Participate in patient education, community outreach, and clinic activities when appropriate.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications

* Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program. * Current or eligible for a Pennsylvania Physical Therapist Assistant license. * New graduates and experienced Physical Therapist Assistants are welcome to apply. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care. * Ability to effectively carry out treatment plans under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. * Strong interest in helping patients achieve their functional goals and improve their quality of life. * Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative clinical team. * Strong organizational and documentation skills. * Professional, dependable, and positive attitude. * Commitment to continued learning and professional development. * Candidates with special interests or experience in areas such as orthopedics, sports rehabilitation, manual therapy, pelvic health, lymphedema, pediatrics, or other specialty areas are encouraged to apply.
