Job Description
**Responsibilities:**
* Provide per diem athletic training coverage as needed to support team operations and athlete care * Perform comprehensive injury assessments and evaluations using appropriate clinical examination techniques * Develop and implement individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans for injured athletes * Provide immediate emergency medical care and injury management in accordance with established protocols * Collaborate with team physicians, coaching staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal athlete health and safety * Maintain detailed and accurate medical records and documentation for all athlete evaluations and treatments * Design and implement injury prevention programs and conditioning protocols to enhance athlete performance and reduce injury risk * Educate athletes on proper injury prevention techniques, recovery strategies, and return-to-play guidelines * Manage athletic training equipment, supplies, and facilities to ensure they meet safety and operational standards * Monitor athlete health status and provide ongoing support during practices, competitions, and team events * Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations, HIPAA requirements, and organizational policies * Communicate effectively with athletes, coaching staff, and medical personnel regarding injury status and treatment progress
Qualifications
**Required:**
* Current Athletic Trainer Certification (ATC) license in Pennsylvania * Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited Athletic Training program * Current CPR/AED certification and First Aid certification * Knowledge of injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation protocols * Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
