Role Overview

As a Breeding Colony Technician, you will play a vital role in providing skilled husbandry and animal care services to laboratory rodents used in research. You will support the Supervisor and Leader of Bioresources, acting as a resource for breeding-related scientific and organizational matters. Your work ensures the health and maintenance of breeding colonies, contributing to the success of critical research initiatives.

What You Will Do

* Assist in the care, feeding, and maintenance of breeding rodent colonies. * Act as a resource for scientific and organizational matters related to rodent breeding. * Perform routine tasks to ensure the well-being of laboratory animals. * Collaborate with supervisors to support research initiatives.

Required Qualifications

* Associate's Degree or higher in a related field with 2 years of related animal experience, OR High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of related animal experience. * AALAS LAT certification required within 6 months of eligibility. * Valid Michigan vehicle operator's license with a satisfactory driving record.
