Job Description
AC Technician
* Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems and related equipment.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in HVAC systems to ensure proper operation.
* Perform routine preventive maintenance to avoid system breakdowns.
* Replace or repair defective parts such as compressors, motors, and thermostats.
* Test electrical circuits and components for safety and efficiency.
* Clean and inspect air filters, coils, and other components to maintain air quality.
* Ensure compliance with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
* Respond promptly to emergency repair requests.
* Coordinate with other technicians and departments to complete tasks efficiently.
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
* High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or certification in HVAC preferred
* Relevant HVAC or refrigeration certification/license (e.g., EPA Section 608 certification)
* Proven experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning systems
* Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical components related to HVAC systems
* Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in HVAC work
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
* Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Physical ability to handle equipment and work in various conditions
* Strong communication and customer service skills
