Position Summary We are seeking a Surgical Technologist (Scrub Tech) to support pain management and ophthalmology procedures at our busy surgery center. This role is responsible for preparing the operating room, maintaining a sterile environment, and assisting the surgical team throughout procedures. Key Responsibilities * Prepare and organize instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies for procedures. * Maintain the sterile field and follow infection prevention protocols. * Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and assist the surgical team as needed. * Prepare and position patients for surgery. * Perform instrument and sponge counts before and after procedures. * Clean, sterilize, and restock equipment and operating rooms between cases. * Monitor surgical equipment and ensure supplies are available. * Maintain accurate procedure documentation and communicate patient-related information to the nursing team. * Follow facility policies, safety standards, and required training guidelines.
Qualifications Required * High school diploma or GED * Current BLS certification * At least 1 year of healthcare experience * Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment
Preferred * At least 2 years of operating room experience * Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program * Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential, where applicable
