You will need to be a dab hand with a pencil, able to command the respect of colleagues and clients, and experienced in successfully leading teams across a number of projects. This capability should be matched by excellent interpersonal skills, and a readiness to represent us at meetings with clients and project teams.

The ideal candidate digits and skills … — 5+ years’ experience in geotechnical design — Degree in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, or a related discipline — Chartered status, or at application stage

— Strong analytical and problem-solving skills — Enthusiasm for ground engineering and professional growth

— Experience in geotechnical design of foundations, basements, retaining structures and slope stability.

— Experience liaising and obtaining approvals from third party owners as London Underground, Transport for London, Network Rail, and others.

— Experience with Ground Movement Assessment and Impact Assessment of buildings, utilities and infrastructure assets.

—Manage and interpret ground investigations; prepare and review technical reports.

— Proven experience with geotechnical software, such as PLAXIS, Oasys Site, GeoStudio

-   Ability to mentor and guide junior Engineers; support technical and professional growth.

—  Ability to manage small geotechnical packages, including programme, budget and coordination of deliverables.

Compensation: £49,000 - £58,500 per annum
