Job Description
The Parts Counterperson is responsible for picking up and delivering parts and for the carrying out of those jobs and/or assignments set forth by the department manager. This person will administer internal procedures and reports.
* Provide outstanding customer service by assisting customers at the parts counter, addressing inquiries, and offering expert advice on parts selection. * Handle phone inquiries and provide information on parts availability, pricing, and compatibility. * Efficiently and accurately process parts orders, ensuring timely delivery to customers and service technicians. * Collaborate with vendors and maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing parts shipments. * Monitor and maintain adequate levels of inventory to meet customer demand. * Conduct regular stock checks, reconcile discrepancies, and update inventory records in the dealership's system. * Utilize technical knowledge to assist customers and service technicians in identifying the correct parts for repairs and maintenance. * Stay informed about new products and advancements in automotive parts to provide up-to-date information. * Handle cash and process payments accurately, providing customers with receipts for transactions. * Collaborate with the service and sales departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of parts orders.
Qualifications
* 1+ years of experience in automotive dealership parts department. * Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and provide excellent assistance. * Knowledge of automotive parts and their applications. * Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills. * Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. * Must be authorized to work in the USA * Must be willing to undergo pre-employment compliance requirements: Drug testing, background check, MVR.

Schedule:
* FULL TIME * 5 days a week / 2 days off * Weekend availability required
