About the role
Overview:
Celanese is seeking an Associate Technician, Maintenance/Reliability Expert. This is a 12-hour night shift with rotating days. This role will ensure that all aspects of the maintenance plan are followed, adhering to four core principles: * Preventive maintenance * Equipment repair within their capabilities, including root cause analysis * Proactively addressing reliability issues * Executing maintenance activities as scheduled by the maintenance planner
Responsibilities:
* Conduct routine rounds and actively monitor equipment to inspect and detect anomalies, identifying emerging issues. * Independently perform maintenance in accordance with industry standards. * Identify required parts, supplies, and repair items. * Collaborate with the Planner/Scheduler to optimize preventive maintenance procedures. * Ensure compliance with 5S and housekeeping standards. * Perform maintenance tasks, make adjustments and repairs, and complete preventive maintenance as scheduled. * Conduct C-level root cause analyses (RCAs) on equipment reliability failure modes. * Troubleshoot issues in collaboration with other workgroups as necessary (e.g., Core Maintenance Expert, Reliability SME). * Apply lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, turn equipment over to maintenance for repairs, and participate in return-to-service activities. * Deliver accurate and high-quality work notifications.
Qualifications:
* Maintenance skills * High school diploma or equivalent * Understanding of basic electrical and mechanical systems, with the ability to perform repairs * Technical focus or at least 6 months of related experience in the general maintenance industry * Troubleshooting and RCA skills * Knowledge of processes and equipment * Ability to identify anomalies in equipment * Proficiency in using basic hand tool
This Kentucky position pays $35.62/hour, plus a night‑shift differential and annual bonus eligibility. Actual pay may vary based on experience, qualifications, and market factors.
