About the role

We’re hiring a Project Scheduling Specialist to develop and update project schedules across the company. This position will work closely with the director of scheduling and project teams providing training and support.

WHAT YOU’LL DO As a project scheduler you'll confidently and professionally represent Dowbuilt, with a positive attitude and customer service driven approach. To succeed in this position, you’ll bring:

* Coordinate schedule activities between various projects and stakeholders. In collaboration with project teams, prepare, monitor and update overall project schedules using MS Project Online, following guidelines and policies. * Run regular update meetings with project teams to assist and assess conflicts in schedule logic and risks to schedule critical path and deadlines. * Provide clear and accurate schedule update reports identifying long and short-term resource requirements for projects, Critical Path drivers and risks, work with project teams to ensure proper planning, and to identify scheduling conflicts as well as offer solutions. * Clear understanding and working knowledge of critical path scheduling. * Learn and apply scheduling logic, based on construction sequencing of project; use Dowbuilt scheduling templates to incorporate project specific tasks, milestones, project calendars and other schedule constraint controls. * Develop an understanding of the design process, construction planning and procurement as it relates to the residential market and incorporate these processes into all schedules. * Integrate subcontractor and supplier schedules, as provided by project teams into master schedules and update regularly. * Collaborate with Direct of Scheduling, project teams and related stakeholders to develop and capture scheduling and planning best practices for Dowbuilt. * Train project engineers, project managers and superintendents on MS Project to allow teams to independently update and maintain schedules; provide troubleshooting support. * Participate in internal project reviews as requested. * Assist in other scheduling department functions, as needed (including by not limited to developing SOP’s). * Demonstrate and support a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion

TRAVEL: Some nationwide travel to job sites may be required. Less than 10% of time.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED To be successful as a Dowbuilt project scheduling specialist, you’ll need:

* Undergraduate degree in Building Science, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field or equivalent professional experience * High degree of proficiency in MS Project and critical path scheduling methodology * Ability to collaborate and build relationships with project teams that transcend a project * Detail-oriented and proactive problem solver * Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) * Experience with applications such as Smartsheet, Egnyte, Slack and Asana is preferred * Demonstrate and support a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion * Operate with a high level of integrity, positivity, and emotional intelligence

Essential Functions

* Collaborate with project build teams to create, monitor and update project schedules using MS Project software. * Generate and distribute project schedule update reports identifying controlling issues and risks to project progress. * Ability to work minimum Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm, not including commute time * Must have reliable transportation to get to/from work and to/from job sites safely and on-time * Must comply with Dowbuilt’s drug and alcohol policy * Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The duties of this position require the employee to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment, as well as the ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The duties of this position also require the employee to frequently communicate with employees and clients, and the employee must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

The base pay range for this position is $85,000 - $130,000 per year. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity.

New hires typically start below the midpoint of the range, with the opportunity for growth and advancement over time.
