Job Title: Senior Health & Safety Specialist Location: Graniteville, SC Onsite Salary: $90,000–$120,000/year + Annual Bonus Relocation: Eligible
Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Health & Safety Specialist to lead EHS programs and safety initiatives at a large manufacturing facility supporting 500+ employees. This role will partner with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, HR, and leadership to ensure OSHA compliance, reduce workplace risks, and strengthen the site's safety culture.
Key Responsibilities * Develop and improve health & safety programs, policies, and procedures. * Conduct safety audits, inspections, risk assessments, and hazard analyses. * Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. * Ensure OSHA compliance, recordkeeping, and regulatory reporting. * Manage programs including **LOTO, machine guarding, confined space, ergonomics, hot work, and contractor safety. * Develop and deliver safety training for employees, contractors, and leadership. * Monitor safety metrics, injury trends, near misses, and corrective actions. * Support emergency preparedness and regulatory inspections. * Partner with plant leadership to identify risks and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Safety, EHS, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field. * 5+ years of EHS/Safety experience in manufacturing, industrial, or heavy-production environments. * Strong knowledge of **OSHA regulations and safety compliance**. * Experience with incident investigations, root cause analysis, audits, risk assessments, and corrective actions. * Experience with OSHA recordkeeping and safety training. * Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. * Ability to work onsite and respond to off-shift safety incidents/emergencies as needed.
Preferred: CSP, ASP, CIH, OHST, or First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
