About the role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our hotel housekeeping team. The Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining guest rooms, bathrooms, and assigned hotel areas to ensure a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests.
Key Responsibilities
* Clean and prepare guest rooms according to hotel standards. * Make beds, change linens, and replace towels and other guest supplies. * Clean and sanitize bathrooms, floors, furniture, and other room areas. * Dust, vacuum, mop, and perform other routine cleaning duties. * Replenish toiletries and in-room amenities as needed. * Inspect rooms for cleanliness, maintenance issues, and missing items. * Report maintenance problems, damaged items, or lost-and-found articles to the appropriate department. * Follow hotel safety, sanitation, and housekeeping procedures. * Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely. * Respond courteously to guest requests when required. * Maintain cleanliness in assigned public or back-of-house areas. * Complete assigned rooms within the required time while maintaining quality standards. * Follow all hotel policies and procedures.
Requirements
* Previous housekeeping or hotel cleaning experience preferred. * Hospitality/hotel experience is a plus. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong attention to detail and cleanliness. * Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift during the work shift. * Ability to lift and carry housekeeping supplies and equipment. * Reliable attendance and punctuality. * Good communication and customer-service skills. * Ability to follow instructions and hotel standards. * Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays. * Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements: This position requires prolonged standing/walking, frequent bending and reaching, and the ability to lift and move housekeeping supplies and equipment.
