About the role
Summary The Test Engineering Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all testing activities to ensure that products—whether software, hardware, or physical systems—meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and project deadlines. Define testing strategies, set quality goals, and align test activities with business objectives and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities * Supervises and manages the work of employees within the assigned test area * Plans, implements, continuously improves, and coordinates processes related to existing and new products * Ensures the efficient operation of the test environment, test equipment, and test tools in compliance with customer requirements to support effective testing processes * Designs and develops test equipment specifications * Designs and ensures the effective operation of test engineering processes * Defines the necessary headcount and training needs for the efficient operation of the test engineering department * Ensures testing processes are in line with quality standards and customer or otherwise defined specifications * Responsible for the selection, continuous development, and evaluation of Test Engineers, Test Engineer Assistants, Shift Leaders, and Test Technicians in their organization * Accountable for the outcomes of activities within the test engineering department, including defining the sub-processes and competence needs required for effective operations * Proposes and implements continuous improvement solutions * Supports internal training programs aimed at improving production efficiency, reducing scrap rates, and developing employees' technical skills * Ensures the necessary training is provided for employees affected by new product introductions, process changes, or technology updates * Maintains order and cleanliness within their area of responsibility
Basic Qualifications * Analytical skills. * Should be an effective team player. * Should be able to communicate to large groups and executives comfortably. * Must be flexible with work schedule and location.
* Good communication, presentation, verbal, managerial, logical, organizing & problem-solving skills * Must have a good command of written and spoken English.
Education and Experience * College or university degree in a relevant technical field. * Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, including 3 years in a leadership role
