Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Assist walk-in customers and phone inquiries in selecting required parts, suggest companion requirements, offer specials, and ensure exposure to the full product line. * Pull purchases from stock, determine availability, and submit emergency orders as requested by customers. * Process orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up and manage "will call" and "back order" files weekly. * Assist service technicians in selecting parts needed for repairs and coordinate with Shop Foreman regarding parts orders and receipt notifications. * Process sales transactions, verify documentation, issue credits for returns, and ensure proper customer information is recorded for tax-exempt and charge account sales. * Maintain counter areas in clean, organized condition; replenish assigned inventory daily and keep current on new products and updates. * Operate company and customer vehicles for delivery purposes; must be legally and technically able to drive and insurable by company insurance carrier. * Follow all company safety policies and procedures; immediately report any accidents to a manager or supervisor and provide professional, efficient service to all customers and dealership departments.
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent. * One year of experience in an automotive parts department. * One year of sales experience. * Ability to read, comprehend instructions, and communicate effectively with customers. * Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor. * Valid driver's license with ability to pass background check, motor vehicle record review, drug screening, and credit report verification. * Authorization to work in the USA and willingness to comply with all company safety policies.
