Job Description
University Physical Therapy – is seeking a passionate and skilled Physical Therapist to join our outpatient physical therapy and sports medicine team. This role focuses on providing evidence-based care to patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and performance-related conditions. You will work in a collaborative environment with other rehabilitation professionals to help patients return to peak function, wellness and performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with sports-related injuries, orthopedic and neuromuscular conditions. * Deliver hands-on therapy and prescribe therapeutic exercises to restore function, strength, and mobility. * Educate patients on injury and fall risk prevention, recovery strategies, and performance optimization. * Collaborate with referring physicians and interdisciplinary team members in the community to ensure continuity of care. * Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations. * Stay current with best practices and advancements in sports medicine and rehabilitation.
Qualifications
* Education: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program. * Licensure: Active Physical Therapy license in Virginia. * Experience: * Preferred: 1+ years in outpatient orthopedics or sports medicine. * New graduates with strong interest in outpatient orthopedics and sports rehab are encouraged to apply. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
