About the role

HYPR, the Identity Assurance Company, helps organizations create trust in the identity lifecycle.  We are a community of bold thinkers and energetic doers who imagined a brand new approach to identity security and, at the same time, are eliminating a pervasive and persistent 60-year old problem – the password. Since being founded in 2014, the company has grown to be the premium provider of authentication security to marquee brands around the globe and are quickly becoming the recognized leader in Identity Assurance. We are looking for exceptional people with the ambition and the will to positively change the world. If that sounds like you, join us on our mission to create a passwordless world and secure the identity lifecycle.

Your Role and Impact

HYPR is looking for a Senior Software Engineer in Test with a passion for customer experience. Your role will be working closely with our development team on building out high-quality test suites. Your expertise in designing and implementing best practices and tooling for testing (including unit, functional, integration, system, and regression using both manual and automated processes) will be key to the success of the team.

What You will Do

* You will break up complex features into clear, automatable tests and build testing solutions that scale well * You will test mobile and desktop applications, SaaS services, platform scalability and database migrations * Partner with engineering teams to enable our Continuous Delivery pipelines to have strong automated test coverage, stable environment setup/teardown, and reliable quality gates * You will learn new systems and integrations quickly and be able to communicate the challenges and advantages clearly * You will participate in the full development life cycle, adding your insights to requirements, designs and code reviews * Create and run performance test plans, scenarios, and automation scripts based on requirements to evaluate application performance. * Examine performance test results, identify bottlenecks, and document findings, including CPU, memory, and response time metrics.

What You have Done

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field of study (Master's preferred) * Strong CS fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms * 8+ years of automation experience * Experience working in a Continuous Delivery environment—frequent releases, automated testing gates, CI/CD pipelines, environment automation * Interest in or experience with AI-assisted development workflows, as HYPR is moving toward an AI-native engineering model * Experience with BDD/Selenium automation across mobile drivers, BrowserStack, or similar * Experience with leading the end-to-end performance testing strategy for a large-scale SaaS platform * Experience with troubleshooting and optimizing complex microservices architecture to identify root causes of latency and system bottlenecks * Experience testing SaaS platforms or complex distributed systems * Experience with Git Flow and tools such as Gitlab, Artifactory and Jira

Nice to Have

* Knowledge of identity management systems, such as MS Entra or similar * Experience testing Windows and Mac desktop applications * Experience testing with virtual machines * Good working knowledge of cross-browser and cross-device testing

If you enjoy solving difficult engineering challenges and want to help define the future of secure authentication, we’d love to talk.
