About the role
A-Line is looking for a Trailer Mechanic to maintain our fleet of flatbed and van trailers. Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, and working closely with a peer, you’ll ensure trailers meet road safety standards and stay in top shape.
Starting Pay: $21 - $26 starting pay, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:45 am - 4:30 pm
What You’ll Do:
* Perform preventative maintenance on trailers to meet DOT requirements * Repair and maintain brakes, electrical systems, suspensions, tires, and more * Troubleshoot issues and document repairs * Operate the yard truck to maneuver trailers in and out of the shop for repair * Perform DOT inspections and repairs on trucks as needed * Collaborate with the team to keep operations running smoothly
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience with air brakes, electrical systems, and ABS systems is a plus * Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills * Excellent attention to detail and communication * Valid Driver’s License (Class A CDL a plus) * Must have own basic hand tools and storage
