About the role
The Engineering & Maintenance Assistant helps maintain vessels, facilities, vehicles, and equipment. This entry-level position is designed for someone interested in mechanics, engineering, construction, maintenance, or other skilled trades.
Typical duties may include:
* Assisting experienced employees with routine maintenance * Organizing tools, equipment, and replacement parts * Cleaning machinery and work areas * Helping perform equipment inspections * Recording basic maintenance information * Assisting with preventative maintenance * Helping troubleshoot simple equipment problems * Learning the proper use of hand and power tools * Reporting damaged or unusual equipment conditions * Following workplace and equipment safety procedures
Qualifications: Applicants should enjoy hands-on work, be willing to learn, follow safety instructions carefully, and be comfortable working around machinery. Previous mechanical experience is helpful but not required.
Schedule: Part-time, approximately 10–20 hours per week.
Starting Pay: $22.00 per hour.
