About the role
Resolution Think, through its joint venture partnership with Cognito Systems, LLC, are seeking a Referral Clerk to support administrative operations within the military treatment facility at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. The ideal candidate will provide professional customer service while assisting patients and staff with referral and appointment coordination.
Location: Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00a - 4:00p Travel: None
Key Duties: * Answer incoming calls and assist patients and staff with referral-related questions. * Review and process referrals for completeness and eligibility. * Schedule and reschedule specialty appointments according to MTF guidelines. * Process routine, urgent, and emergent referrals within established timeframes. * Coordinate referrals with outside providers or insurance when services are not available at the MTF. * Maintain accurate referral documentation in MHS GENESIS and other required systems. * Educate patients on referral procedures, appointments, and expected timelines. * Provide professional and courteous customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality.
Minimum Requirements: * Must be a US Citizen per contract requirements * Education: High school diploma or equivalent. * Experience: Working knowledge of medical terminology plus one (1) year of administrative experience in a medical office, clinic, or healthcare setting. Referral management, medical scheduling, patient administration, or insurance verification preferred. * Certifications: Current Basic Life Support certification (AHA or Red Cross) where required by the MTF * Additional Requirements: * Demonstrated computer proficiency and keyboarding sufficient to sustain electronic health record workflow. * Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently. * Favorable employment subject to completion of background, security, and drug screening requirements as stated in contract. * Willingness to comply with DHA medical screening requirements
