$22/hour | Full-Time | 1st Shift | Waterloo, IA
A-Line is looking for a dependable Yard Driver to help keep our Waterloo operation moving. This is primarily a yard-driving position, with some small local runs as needed.
What You'll Do
* Move and position trailers throughout the yard for loading and unloading * Drop and hook trailers in various areas of the yard * Safely maneuver flatbed and tanker trailers * Make occasional small local runs as needed * Stage trailers and equipment for daily operations * Back trailers into designated areas * Clean and prepare trailers for loading and unloading * Perform basic trailer inspections * Communicate with plant and operations teams to coordinate trailer movement * Follow all DOT, company, and safety requirements * Help keep the yard organized and operating efficiently * Perform other driving and yard duties as needed
What We're Looking For
* Valid Class A CDL required * Safe driving record * Previous CDL/commercial driving experience preferred * Comfortable backing and maneuvering trailers in tight spaces * Experience with flatbed or tanker trailers is a plus * Comfortable working around heavy equipment and an industrial environment * Dependable and safety-minded * Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions * Willing to perform hands-on work, including cleaning trailers * Good communication and teamwork skills
