About the role

About Neo

AI agents are now running on every endpoint in the enterprise. They read credentials, call APIs, connect to MCP servers, and move data, often with no security team watching. Neo is the agentic software control company. We give SecOps teams a live inventory of every agent, extension, and MCP server across their organization, show how each is configured, and enforce policy on every action at the endpoint before it reaches sensitive data or systems.

Neo launched with $100M from Andreessen Horowitz and Bessemer Venture Partners. We are an AI-native team building the control layer for an AI-native world, and we expect every function, including finance and operations, to operate that way.

About the Role

Neo Security is hiring a Finance & Operations Manager to help build and scale our business. Based out of our Boston, MA office, you'll work closely with Finance and Operations leadership, the COO, CEO, Sales, and our international teams on a broad range of financial, operational, and strategic initiatives.

As an early-stage company, we're looking for someone who thrives in an interdisciplinary role, enjoys solving complex problems, and is excited to build things from scratch. This is a hands-on opportunity to take ownership, work across different functions, and help shape the processes and systems that will support our growth.

This role sits at the intersection of finance, operations, go-to-market, and partnerships. As the company scales and the team grows, you'll have the opportunity to specialize in one or more of these areas based on your strengths and interests.

What You'll Do

* Leverage AI and automation to design and implement efficient, scalable, and AI-native business processes.

* Support financial planning, including long-range planning, scenario and sensitivity analysis, budgeting and forecasting, and day-to-day finance operations.

* Work closely with Sales Operations on commercial processes, deal structuring, pricing, and deal support.

* Take ownership of cross-functional projects, working closely with R&D, Product, Marketing, Sales, and other teams to solve business challenges and drive strategic initiatives.

* Drive financial and operational analytics to support business decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.

* Support the development and execution of strategic partnerships, including commercial analysis, partner operations, and cross-functional coordination.

* Lead the rollout of new systems and tools in the US, collaborating with our international teams.

* Support investor meetings, board reporting, fundraising activities, and other strategic initiatives.

* Design, implement, and improve internal processes and controls to support a rapidly growing business.

* Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other professional service providers.

Requirements

* 1–4 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, or finance and/or operations at a technology company.

* Advanced proficiency in AI tools, with a strong interest in developing AI-native processes and rethinking traditional workflows.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in financial modeling and data analysis.

* Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.

* Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to independently drive initiatives from start to finish.

* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams and with senior leadership.

* A proactive, hands-on mindset, high attention to detail, and a willingness to take on responsibilities beyond a traditional job description.

* Comfortable with ambiguity and excited about the challenges and opportunities of an early-stage startup.

* Based in or near Boston, MA.

Nice to Haves

* Exposure to a high-growth, venture-backed startup.

* Familiarity with software and AI business models.

* Experience implementing new systems, automating workflows, or improving business processes.

* Exposure to sales operations, partnerships, commercial deal support, or strategic finance.

* Experience working with international teams or cross-border operations.

* Prior involvement in fundraising, investor reporting, or board preparation.
