Our research empowers the leadership of some of the world’s most influential companies to make informed decisions and shape the future of technology.

As a Senior Research Analyst within Omdia’s semiconductor research team, you will play a pivotal role in driving thought leadership and delivering actionable insights through the Application Market Forecast Tool (AMFT). This position is ideal for a research professional with a passion for uncovering trends, connecting the dots, and shaping the narrative of the semiconductor industry.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop Insightful Research: Conduct in-depth research to generate, maintain, and expand databases for semiconductor components and end-applications. Collaborate with colleagues and leverage your expertise to fill gaps where data is unavailable, ensuring clarity and transparency in assumptions.

* Forecast Market Trends: Use your industry knowledge and analytical skills to create market forecasts that reflect the evolving dynamics of the semiconductor industry. Articulate the rationale behind your forecasts to internal teams and external stakeholders.

* Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with semiconductor analysts to align assumptions and ensure consistency across projects. Partner with equipment analysts and other Omdia teams to gather data, validate assumptions, and build a cohesive view of the market.

* Thought Leadership: Establish Omdia as the definitive source of insight and innovation within the semiconductor industry. Contribute to a compelling research agenda that positions the team at the forefront of industry thought leadership.

* Engage with Stakeholders: Respond to inquiries from colleagues and clients, providing clarity on datasets, methodologies, and assumptions. Build strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and evolve the research offering accordingly.

* Adapt and Innovate: Take ownership of the AMFT model and datasets, demonstrating agility to adapt to changing market conditions. Transform data structures and incorporate new research areas driven by customer demand.

* Support Commercial Growth: Partner with sales and product development teams to identify new opportunities, support renewals, and evolve the research offering to meet client needs.

Qualifications

* Industry Expertise: 2-5 years of relevant experience in the semiconductor industry or research analysis, with a strong understanding of semiconductor components and the forces shaping the market.

* Analytical Depth: Ability to synthesise insights from multiple sources, connect the dots, and think strategically about market trends and dynamics.

* Collaborative Mindset: Proven ability to build relationships across teams and work collaboratively to achieve mutual goals.

* Thought Leadership: Confident in forming and expressing opinions on industry trends, backed by robust data and analysis.

* Technical Proficiency: Advanced MS Excel skills for data organisation, manipulation, and analysis, including pivot tables.

* Intellectual Curiosity: A passion for exploring new research areas, uncovering trends, and delivering insights that drive decision-making.

* Multitasking and Prioritisation: Strong organisational skills to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
