This is a hands-on, on-site role for someone local to Elgin, Texas who's comfortable working directly with dogs in a shelter environment. The Elgin facility is a high-volume transport hub processing multiple dog shipments a week, and Fi's collars need to go on every incoming dog and stay charged and cycling correctly.
What You'll Do:
* Visit the partner site 2-3 times per week, 1-2 hours per visit * Check that collars are charged and keep a regular charging routine * Confirm collars are fitted and installed correctly on the dogs * Troubleshoot basic device issues and escalate anything you can’t resolve * Log device status in a shared spreadsheet * Send the Fi team a short written update each week
What You'll Bring:
* Must be local to Elgin, TX * Comfortable working with dogs in a kennel or shelter environment * A flexible schedule that allows visits on short notice * Strong, responsive email communication * Basic organizational skills, comfortable reading and maintaining a simple spreadsheet * Experience maintaining equipment, tracking inventory or following a maintenance schedule is a plus
