What employees say about Wellspring...

Make a difference when it matters most. When someone is experiencing a mental health crisis, having the right support can make all the difference. At Wellspring, we help individuals find stability, regain confidence, and take meaningful steps toward recovery.

Wellspring operates two 24/7 Crisis Stabilization Units in Louisville. Our programs provide a safe, supportive, homelike environment for adults experiencing acute mental health challenges, helping them stabilize and potentially avoid hospitalization.  We're looking for compassionate, dependable Mental Health Technicians to join our Crisis Stabilization team!

What You'll Do: As a Mental Health Technician, you'll be part of the team providing direct, hands-on support to individuals during some of their most challenging moments.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

* Providing encouragement, emotional support, and crisis intervention.                                      * Helping clients develop coping strategies, problem-solving skills, and daily living skills. * Leading or co-leading group activities and supporting clients in their recovery goals. * Monitoring client well-being, recognizing changes in behavior, and communicating concerns to the team. * Supporting medication self-administration. * Welcoming new clients and helping them become comfortable with the program. * Maintaining accurate documentation and contributing to a safe, supportive living environment.

Position Details: This is a part-time position with flexible hours designed to staff 24/7.  Weekday and weekend shifts are available for:  * 1st shift hours: 8a - 4p * 2nd shift hours: 3p - 11p * 3rd shift hours: 11p - 8a

Schedules are flexible!  Pick the days/times that you can work and we will do our best to work with you!  Work anywhere from 4 hours a week to 37!

Qualifications: Experience working with individuals with serious mental illness, co-occurring disorders and/or other health conditions.

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, social work or related field is preferred.  Some education can be substituted for experience.

Salary:  * $15 - $18 / hour

Conditions of Employment: * This position requires a criminal background check, clearances of state and federal background checks, multiple abuse/sex offender registries, and clearance of exclusion lists prior to employment.

Benefits That Support You (Not Just Your Job): At Wellspring, we know you can’t take care of others if you’re not supported yourself. That’s why we offer a benefits package designed to protect your health, support your life outside of work, and give you the freedom to focus on what matters most: helping people recover and thrive.

The Benefit That's Hard to Find: One of the biggest reasons our employees stay at Wellspring is something harder to list on a benefits sheet: you can actually make and see your impact here.  We pride ourselves in being large enough to make a difference and small enough that your voice matters.  Being a mission-driven nonprofit with a collaborative culture, employees have the ability to: * Work autonomously * Advocate for clients * Implement ideas quickly by working closely with those who can make fast decisions * Focus on care rather than bureaucracy

In other words, less red tape and more meaningful work.

Health: * Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) for confidential support and resources

Financial Security: * 401(k) with 100% employer match up to 4%

Time to Recharge: * Generous paid time off (PTO) starting after 90 days of employment (for part-time employees over 20 hours a week) * 9 paid holidays

Support for the Work You Do: * Mileage reimbursement for work-related travel * Collaborative culture where staff ideas are heard and can quickly translate into improvements * Free downtown parking
