Key Responsibilities

* 3D Modeling + Programming: Utilize CAD/CAM software to independently design parts, assemblies, molds, and advanced tool paths.

* Mold + Tooling Engineering: Engineer molds and tooling, determining material requirements (aluminum blocks, composite tooling boards) and optimum blank sizes.

* Fixture Fabrication: Design and physically build custom machining and assembly fixtures to streamline production.

* Process Optimization: Develop efficient machining programs, incorporating well-thought-out tooling, feeds, speeds, and shop-floor feedback.

* Quality + Metrology: Inspect finished parts using precision measurement tools to verify complete adherence to customer specifications.

* Continuous Improvement: Proactively evaluate manufacturing processes for design efficiencies, cycle-time reductions, and quality enhancements.

* Technical Documentation: Generate clear setup sheets, engineering drawings, and revision-controlled design packages.

* Shop Safety + Organization: Maintain a safe, clean work environment and take direct ownership of tooling organization.

Qualifications & Requirements

* Education: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or a related technical degree required. Recent graduates with strong project or internship backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

* Technical Skills: Proficiency in 3D CAD platforms (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, Fusion 360) and a solid foundation in CAM or CNC manufacturing principles required.

* Communication & Math: Strong technical writing and verbal skills for cross-functional collaboration, alongside advanced mathematical and geometric reasoning for tolerance stack-ups and print evaluations required.

* Physical Demands: Regular use of hands for prototyping and computer work; ability to stand, walk the production floor, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs (molds and fixtures).
