About the role
BayWa r.e. Solar Systems is seeking a motivated, customer focused Inside Sales Representative (ISR) to join our team!
In this role, you will play an important part in supporting our customers, strengthening relationships, and driving sales growth. You will partner closely with Outside Sales Representatives and cross functional teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience, support sales activities, and identify new business opportunities. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
What You'll Do
Customer Relationship Management
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, serving as a trusted point of contact. * Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, availability, and orders. * Support customers throughout the sales process, ensuring timely communication and resolution of issues. * Collaborate with Order Management, Operations, and other internal teams to coordinate customer needs and order fulfillment. * Develop a strong understanding of our solar products and solutions to effectively support customers.
Sales Team Support
* Partner with Outside Sales Representatives to manage customer accounts and support sales opportunities. * Monitor customer orders, purchasing activity, and forecasts to identify opportunities and potential challenges. * Provide timely sales and account information to support customer conversations and business decisions. * Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes, resolve issues, and enhance the customer experience.
Business Development & Sales Growth
* Identify and qualify new sales opportunities through lead follow-up, prospect research, and outreach. * Support new customer onboarding, including account setup and access to our online purchasing platform. * Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and expand customer relationships. * Maintain accurate customer information, sales activities, and account records in NetSuite. * Contribute to individual and team sales goals and performance metrics.
What We're Looking For
* 3+ years of experience in inside sales, account management, customer service, or a related role. * Strong communication and relationship-building skills. * A customer-first mindset with a passion for delivering excellent service. * Ability to manage multiple priorities, stay organized, and follow through on commitments. * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working toward performance goals. * Ability to collaborate effectively across sales and operational teams. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using CRM or ERP systems; NetSuite experience is a plus. * Experience in solar, renewable energy, electrical distribution, or a related industry is preferred but not required. * Willingness to travel occasionally (approximately 5–10%).

Compensation: $65,000 - $72,000
