Job Description
Title: Laser Operator
Reports to: Production Supervisor
Job Purpose: Ultimately responsible for set up and operation of laser machines, production saw, and tumble blast machine.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
* Analyze engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and other quality documents * Adjust machine settings per part specifications and troubleshoot machine setting issues * Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with fixtures, gauges, and measuring tools to ensure conformance with specifications * Maintain tolerances determined by part specifications * Ability to perform preventative maintenance and maintain the area’s 5S standards * Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools * Must be able to lift up to 50lbs * Perform other duties as required or assigned by supervisor * Follow all OSHA and internal safety standards
Qualifications
* Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred * Willingness to rotate through multiple manufacturing operations * Ability to perform standard shop computations (math) * Ability to read schematics (blue prints) and engineering drawings * Ability to read, understand, follow and enforce safety procedures * Ability to follow administrative/procedural policies as well as work within a team environment
