About the role
Job Title: Mechanical Technician II and III Compensation: $38/hr Location: Monahans, TX Schedule: 5/2 Scope Technicians are assigned to carry out maintenance work. Tasks and Responsibilities * Assists mechanical engineers in the planning and testing of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery, such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc. * Helps prepare proposals and cost estimates * Actively participates in the use of all on-the-job safety tools * Reviews job packs * Identifies any safety issues associated with the job and ensures removal/mitigation prior to working * Executes work as planned * Records technical history as required by the workgroup (Global Reliability Tool (GRT), data sheet, etc.) * Provides feedback on job pack improvements to Execution FLS * Requests permits and notifies Supervisor if a permit cannot be issued within 30 minutes of requested time
Mechanic Duties * VRU PMs and maintenance * Ariel JGC/4, JGT/4, and KBZ/6 compressor PM and maintenance * H-pump, LACT, and SWD pump maintenance * Cat 3616 and Cat 3516 A4 PM and maintenance * Ingersoll Rand, Atlas Copco, Quincy, Sullair, and Saylor-Beall air compressor PM and maintenance * All mechanics are responsible for all of the above when responding to field needs * Cross-training will be provided in the field
Skills and Qualifications * Discipline-appropriate certification(s) if applicable, or equivalent professional experience * Strong communication skills; ability to clearly and concisely describe conditions in the field and recommend remediation steps * Team player; exhibits effective teamwork when working with persons over whom the person may have no direct authority, and willingness to assist others * Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities * Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
