What You'll Do
As a Cook, you'll help prepare and serve high-quality meals while supporting the daily operations of the kitchen and creating a positive dining experience for our residents.
Responsibilities include:
* Prepare meals according to established recipes, menus, and dietary requirements * Prepare a variety of foods, including soups, sauces, baked goods, appetizers, and desserts * Ensure meals are prepared and served on schedule * Follow proper food preparation, handling, and sanitation procedures * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment * Assist with inventory management, food preparation, and other daily kitchen operations * Follow food safety standards and proper sanitation practices * Work collaboratively with other culinary and senior living team members * Help create an enjoyable dining experience for residents by preparing quality, appealing meals
What You'll Need
* Must be 18 years of age or older * At least 2 years of cooking experience in a restaurant, healthcare, senior services, or similar setting * Experience with food preparation and handling * Knowledge of recipes, cooking methods, and food safety practices * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality * Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English * Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player * Must be willing to work holidays and participate in a weekend rotation
