About the role

MOTOR Information Systems is looking for a hands-on Product Marketing Manager to help customers understand the value of our automotive data, software, and technology solutions.

You’ll shape product positioning and messaging, develop go-to-market plans, coordinate launches, and create useful content and sales tools. You’ll also guide MOTOR’s content resource and help direct our paid media contractor in partnership with the Vice President of Marketing.

This is a cross-functional role for someone who can make complex products easier to understand and connect marketing work to customer needs and business results. The VP of Marketing will lead overall go-to-market strategy at first. As you build product knowledge and relationships across the business, you’ll take on more leadership of launches and go-to-market initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Shape Positioning and launches

*    Turn customer, market, and competitive insight into clear positioning, value propositions, product messaging, and proof points. *    Partner with Marketing and Product leaders on go-to-market plans for new products, major releases, and growth initiatives. *    Coordinate launch activities with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Support. *    Bring market insight to discussions about target audiences, product naming, packaging, pricing, and launch priorities.

Lead content and sales enablement

*   Set content priorities across product marketing, campaigns, thought leadership, sales enablement, and customer communications. *   Manage and develop MOTOR’s assigned content team member, setting priorities and providing feedback. *   Write or edit high-priority materials to ensure they are accurate, customer-focused, and aligned with MOTOR’s brand and goals. *   Create practical sales tools such as pitch materials, battlecards, FAQs, discovery questions, demo narratives, and competitive comparisons. *   Help customer-facing teams explain product features, use cases, and value to customers

Guide paid media

*   Work with the VP of Marketing to set priorities and campaign plans for MOTOR’s paid media contractor. *   Align paid campaigns with product launches, messaging, and pipeline goals. *   Review results—including spend, lead quality, cost per opportunity, and pipeline contribution—and recommend improvements. *   Use AI-assisted tools to support analysis, ad testing, and reporting, with human review before campaign or budget changes. *   Help monitor the contractor’s scope, hours, invoices, and performance expectations

Support customers and growth

*   Own customer communications for product adoption, lifecycle, and renewal messaging. *   Provide Demand Generation with offers, packaging, proof points, and materials for cross-sell and upsell campaigns. *   Serve as business owner for Salesloft, with support from Demand Generation. *   Help shape storylines and positioning for interactive product demos in Storylane. *   Supply messaging, content, and campaign materials for outbound programs to prospects and customers. *   Use customer and field feedback to improve messaging, content, launches, enablement, and product recommendations.

Use AI and measure results

*   Apply AI and automation to research, content development, launches, and sales enablement. *   Build practical workflows that improve speed, quality, consistency, and content reuse. *   Validate sources and product claims, protect confidential information, and use human review for AI-assisted work. *   Participate in Marketing’s AI Center of Excellence, with the VP of Marketing serving as business lead. *   Track results across launches, content, paid media, enablement, product adoption, pipeline influence, and market response.

What success looks like

* Customers and sales teams can clearly explain what MOTOR’s priority products do and why they matter. * Product launches follow a repeatable process and teams are ready to support them. * Content priorities reflect customer needs, product plans, and business goals. * Paid media performance is regularly reviewed and connected to pipeline priorities. * Customer-facing teams have useful tools and stronger product knowledge. * AI-assisted workflows improve cycle time, quality, consistency, and reuse. * You take increasing ownership of launches and go-to-market initiatives.
